Unable to access log viewer in Management Studio 2008 r2 on Windows 7 64 bit

Hi,
When I try to use the log viewer I am unable to check the box and unable to access the transaction logs.

I get the menu item I just cannot get the check box checked.
Am I missing something?
I can see the Alloation map and that seems to work.
I have used the 2008 R2 version.
