Internals viewer is a tool for looking into the SQL Server storage engine and seeing how data is physically allocated, organised and stored.
All sorts of tasks performed by a DBA or developer can benefit greatly from knowledge of what the storage engine is doing and how it works.
This version is for SSMS 2008 R2.
This project is an update of the original Internals Viewer for SQL Server (over at http://internalsviewer.codeplex.com/) that has been updated for SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) 2008 R2.
There have been some minor changes to the SSMS 2008 R2, which make the existing project not work at all in the newer versions, and since it hasn't had an update since 2008 it's of no use if you use the newer database version.
If you would like to contribute to this project, please contact me or post in discussions.
